We Are An Army of Lovers
Over the last 7 months, I made a series of four collages working through my feelings about the dangers of our current political reality and what we need for resilience and resistance. They were 12 by 12 inch collages on wood panel. We Are An Army of Lovers is a reproduction of one of those collages on linen paper. It is 12 by 12 inches, with a white border around the collage. This collage was inspired in part by Queer Nation’s borrowing in the 1990s of a phrase from Rita Mae Brown: "An army of lovers cannot fail." For each collage sold, I will donate half of the money to Puente AZ, an organization based in Phoenix that is doing community defense for immigrants in danger from ICE. This is unmatted and will ship in a 12 by 12 by 1 inch cardboard box. (If you are interested in the whole set, I am offering the set of four for $100 and you can find it in the shop.) If you want to give more to this effort, you can pay me through my Venmo account at @moreartlessfear and put “We Are An Army of Lovers” and your email in the note so that I can send it to you. Any additional money you spend over $30 will be given to Puente AZ.
