This 5.5 by 8.3 inch blank journal has a unique front and back cover both inside and out, monotype printed with the theme of mesquite leaves. Mesquite pods were a key source of nutrition for indigenous communities in the desert for hundreds of years. The trees are islands of fertility and their roots can get both surface water and water deep deep down. They are an iconic Arizona tree.
